Excel Timesheet Template

Real .xlsx files for weekly, biweekly, and monthly — plus the formulas that make Excel total your hours.

Weekly .xlsx: No email, no sign-up — the file downloads directly.

Biweekly .xlsx: No email, no sign-up — the file downloads directly.

Monthly .xlsx: No email, no sign-up — the file downloads directly.

The three formulas that matter

1. Hours between two times: =(B2-A2+(B2<A2))*24 — subtract start from end, add 1 if the shift crossed midnight, multiply by 24 for decimal hours.

2. Subtract a break: =(B2-A2+(B2<A2))*24-(D2-C2)*24 where C/D are break start/end.

3. Overtime split: =MIN(E2,40) for regular and =MAX(E2-40,0) for overtime, then =G2*rate+H2*rate*1.5 for pay.

Enter times as 8:30 AM / 5:15 PM (Excel parses these natively); format hour cells as Number with 2 decimals. Or skip the formulas: the time card calculator computes everything and exports the same layout.

Frequently asked questions

Does the .xlsx open in Google Sheets and Numbers?
Yes — both import .xlsx natively. In Google Sheets: File → Import → Upload. In Numbers: just open it.
Is the template formula-enabled?
The download ships as a clean grid so you can drop in your own formulas (documented above) exactly where you want them. If you prefer zero setup, the online calculator computes totals and exports.
