Reading the numbers honestly

The monthly figure is annual ÷ 12 — a budgeting number, not a paycheck number. A $22/hour full-time worker paid biweekly sees 26 checks of $1,760, not 12 checks of $3,813. Two months a year have three biweekly checks; plan cash flow on the check, savings on the month.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert an hourly rate to a salary?
Hourly × hours per week × weeks per year. At $22 × 40 × 52 = $45,760/year. Part-time at 25 hours: $22 × 25 × 52 = $28,600. The calculator shows annual, monthly, biweekly, and weekly at once.
What about overtime on top?
Add expected OT: 5 OT hours/week at 1.5× adds $22 × 1.5 × 5 × 52 = $8,580/year. For the full math use the overtime calculator.
Is annual salary always hourly × 2080?
2080 = 40 × 52, the standard full-time year. Salaried employees get paid the same regardless of a year having 2,080 or 2,088 work hours; hourly workers are paid per hour actually worked. See work hours in a year.
